  • Old (Bad) Habits Die Hard

    Tardiness
Like the saying “Old (bad) habits, die hard” — which is very true. Other than quitting a smoking habit, looks like there are also plenty of things that I should be concern of. Yeah, just because you quit smoking doesn’t make you the winner in life (LOL?)

So, one from many bad things in my character, even I hate to admit it, is tardiness. I don’t know where and when it started, or how it started, nor can I blame my parents and families for this unwritten culture, but this bad habit is definitely bring a bad impact upon the world professionalism.(...) • Happy Labor Day!

laborday I got a Monday off tomorrow, Labor Day. I firstly though it’s one of holidays that only being celebrated in USA, but actually it’s inspired from Canada. Yeah, to put it simply, it’s the appreciation day for labors: mostly us. The 8 hours paid are granted for USA’s labors for taking a day off. How about those who are working 12 hours / day shift? Well, companies have their own policy then.

I looked up on the internet, and I noticed it’s not only in USA and Canada. The history shows that it such an international celebration in major countries. Here’s the list of countries which are celebrating it. Nice? Well, yeah, but the fact that I couldn’t recall any memory about this kind of holiday ever exist in my country is a little bit tick me off, hahaha.

wifi_zone I started to know Internet when I was in high school. I remember my friend Billy introduced me to the Internet. So nostalgic, we went to the Internet Cafe, and for the first time I finally understand what Internet Explorer is meant for. A bit of embarrassing confession to tell that hentai was the first thing we learnt that time… hahaha, oh high school, so here’s a little bit story of my past…

  • My ‘Love’ Letter For Terrorism

bomb Last week on Friday, July 17th 2009, two explosions happened in JW Marriott and Ritz Carlton Hotel in Indonesia. My cousin told me that morning how Manchester United canceled their tour to Indonesia, where after I found out this heartbreaking event was happening that day.

Plenty of speculations regarding the reason why it happened such as: Anti-MU extremist gone mad, a little bit out of control madness after the presidential vote day, or just a prank for fun.

I really don’t care about the reasons, I just can’t believe it happened.

M&W For years scientists have been trying to classified the differences between men and women. Not only scientist actually, but also psychologist, physiologist, doctor, neurologist, educated person, entertainer including Oprah and Dr. Phil, teens, husband and wife. Put it simple, it’s everybody.

Yeah, physically and mentally, they are different generally (normally). I am not going to write a theory about the mystery of men and women, nor discussing in-depth about this study :) -. I just feel like I want to write about my sunny weekend at my friend’s apartment celebrated the Baby Shower of his sister in law.

  • Megan Fox Dates Bi-Rain?

Posted: July 9th, 2009, 11:42am WIT by Stovila
    TagsBloopers

megan-fox-transformers I just read a link from my friend (MonMon!), and it was about Megan Fox, the hot actress from Transformer Movie, interested in dating Korean Star, Bi-Rain. But as it stated in the Late Night Show, how Megan said that she wasn’t interested in Asian dude is pretty much twisted the fact now.

However, it looks like Rain didn’t show any interest with Megan along with his rejection for a dinner invitation from her. You can read the detail here, and I’m not sure if he’s smart or just plain dumb by technically rejecting the (what people say) hottest girl in the world.

    Then another blow came up. My cousin showed me a link where it says that Megan Fox is actually a guy… Yes, born as a man! until she… I mean he, got a sexual surgery — (*_*) Even there’ is 80% possibility for it as a rumor, you can read this well-written article here back on January 09. I don’t know if this is partially the reason why Rain didn’t show any interest on her (him) or not, but this… is just so wrong ^^;

  • Twitter? Facebook? Spam?

TwitterLogo Actually, I signed up on twitter last year. It was because of the trend apparently, that people started going crazy to tweet. Crazy enough to kill herself while tweeting, as we might have heard it while ago. It’s interesting though, how a simple idea to promote “what are you doing” became so popular, while in other hand it is nothing more than a Facebook status update.

Well, it’s just my personal opinion anyway. Either for you to use Twitter or Facebook, spam is waiting for you. On Twitter, I got constantly a random followers, which most likely are spam. On Facebook, our friends flooding us with their status, comments, massive tags, hundreds of quizzes, never ending game invitations, etc, while WE, our self, also spamming other people with our Tweets and FB feeds :D – We all love spam(s), come on, don’t deny it :)

fireworks Turns out that the weather is very nice tonight in Boston (even though I got a couple hours of rain-shower in my area this evening). I just finished watching the fireworks ceremony on TV, and it’s definitely much better than last year. At the end of the show, the MC said that they were using the new set of fireworks that never before seen… and I wonder, can you really tell the difference?

  • Rainy Independence Day, July 4th, 09?

Posted: July 4th, 2009, 8:35pm WIT by Stovila
    TagsBloopers

independenceDaySuppose to be raining all day” – that’s what the weatherman says. Sucks for North (New England especially) Coast, must dealing with fog, rain and thunderstorm on the day of celebration of United States.

Sounds bad isn’t it? Well, true you can’t really go out for shopping, lying naked on the beach under the sunlight, or have a BBQ par-tay, but who is going to throw the fireworks into the sky at 3 o’clock in the afternoon anyway?

Luckily there will be no rain after 4pm tomorrow around Hampton and Boston today; at least that’s what the weather forecast says.

So, am I going to see the fireworks tonight? No, I am going to watch Transformer 2 (maybe…).

    Greetings, it’s been a year…

Well, trapped with laziness, works, frustrations, school and somewhat hate, I finally caught in the mood to play with photoshop last week. Despite the fact that I got a little project, making a website for a company, I decided to remake this neglected blog template as well.

Not bad huh, and I am just hoping that with this bright and lively colors will stimulate my desire to write again.

Summer DayI’m not so sure what day on the calendar states:

it’s official, we’re entering summer day!

It’s getting hot and hotter lately. Last couple days were the worse… so far. My Yahoo Weather Widget shows it’s 65-70 Fahrenheit, which I believe it screwed. It feels like almost 100 degree outside.

A lot of my friends asked me “Is it hotter than Surabaya?” — or Semarang, Jakarta, and many other famous Hot Cities among the nation, well… I might say “Yes!” but to be honest, I couldn’t remember.

  • How Are You? vs Apa Kabar?

One from many things that quite bugs me when I came to state was the “How Are You?” culture. I wasn’t sure, and still unsure today, whether it supposed to be a good culture or bad.

In Indonesia, I barely see people say “How Are You?” (in my own language of course) to anyone in daily conversation, while the most common question being said is “What are you doing?” That’s how we start conversation for most of the time =)

Here, in United States, I heard it everywhere, anytime. I mean, everywhere you go…

I’ll say it’s Gado Gado, then followed by Pecel. It’s not a seasonal symptom for me, to miss Indonesian food. I miss it everyday, even if I can make it myself, or buy it at Indonesian Food restaurant (quite far away from my residence), the feeling is just different.

Indonesian Food suppose to be eaten in Indonesia. What’s the difference? I don’t know.. ‘that‘ thing is missing. Maybe you can call it the atmosphere? Or the traditional plate we use (from banana’s leaf, what’s that called?), or maybe.. aha! I remember. It’s the drink!

Es Teh, Es Jeruk, Wedang Jahe, Soda Gembira, Kopi Tumbuk, Cendol, all kinds of drink. No, those are not gibberishes; just Google it for more info.

    Vista
United States Of America is ready for Vista these days! Hurrayy!

    How much is it?

    Oh!, It’s ONLY (damn) $199!

I’m not sure how much the price today, since I’m still using XP, but yeah, that’s what pretty much happens today in the PC-world. If you eye-shopping through the PCs today, all of them powered by Vista (Home, Professional, Ultimate, Whatever Premium Edition).

Without saying whether it’s bad or good thing, it is an absolute way to penetrate the transition from one thing to another. Mass-sabotage!

    Ya-da ya-da ya-da, and I’m starting my rumbles…

    Konota Izumi - Lucky Star
I’m watching anime recently. The last anime I had seen was Full Metal Panic! Fumoffu? in late 2004. Until few weeks ago I found myself missing that series (Though I couldn’t remember any of its story but my hard laughs). So, once out of million times, torrent saved me again.

I’m not sure if I was an anime-lover. I read tons of mangas, but I never able to enjoying myself watching anime as much as when I’m reading mangas. Beside, in my country, the anime VCDs were quite expensive, not to mention DVD.. Manga also so well updated and more affordable over there.

Why don’t you just download it?

Heh, the cost to download 1 episode of anime with the power of dial up, could feed you well enough for a month..

Sadly enough, I live in United States right now. The manga update over here is like 5 years behind; it’s pretty thick.. heavy, and expensive; but they have a fantastico internet speed, which led me to the new world =D.

    2008
Hey you…! Happy New Year 2008. Having fun yet? With fireworks, bottles of Vodka, Tobaccos and the beach. One decade is almost over, I wish you have a good future plan already.

To think about the New Year party is actually kind of amused me. People around the world stay awake all night throwing parties, and they usually sleep 12 hours late from their normal sleep time, which make the world feels like stop rotating that night.

Therefore, December 31 and January 1st, I announced it as the Global Jet Lag Day (meh, whatever); but beside that, do you know that New Year’s Eve also called as a Disaster Day?
